About Me:: Backed up with a long leniage of legends, K-Tone is the newest breed of star-studded composers and producers in the Caston family. The signature sound goes back at least three generations and counting. Beginning with Leonard "Baby Doo" Caston (Grand Father), Writer/Arranger for blues Hall Of Famer "Willie Dixon". Taken on by Leonard "L.C." Caston (Uncle), Writer/Producer for R&B icon "Eddie Kendriks" of the Temptations. Trevor "K-Tone" Caston began singing, rapping, and pause mixing at the tender age of 9 and has never looked back. He went on to be considered a Chicago Hip Hop Pioneer for his work with rap group (D 2 tha S) and (Ill State Assassins). His early inspirations include DJ Marley Marl, DJ Premier, DJ Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Teddy Riley, and Quincy Jones. K-Tone, in recent years, has either written, produced, composed, or mixed for many of the elite rap artists in the midwest region such as (Do Or Die, Twista, Jonny P, Psycodrama, Ill State Assassins, E.C Illa, Cayex illah, The Legendary Traxster, E Dub, Dun D, Snypaz) and more. The torch couldn't have been passed on to a more competitive, but yet humble young Writer/ Producer in the modern world today.
